Re-elected to serve their communities for four years

Posted filed under News.

The local elections were held on May 3rd.  Although across Wirral the turnout was not high, the ward with highest turnout was Greasby, Frankby and Irby.

Councillors John Hale, Geoffrey Watt and Tony Cox were re-elected to serve Hoylake and Meols, West Kirby and Thurstaston, and Greasby, Frankby & Irby wards respectively.

Across Wirral the election results mean that Labour now control the council with 37 of the 66 seats. The Conservative Group is now 22 strong.  It will be two years before the people of Wirral have another opportunity to change the council.
