Being a Conservative Councillor

Have you ever wondered what kind of people run the local services you use?

Who was responsible for the big increase in Council Tax this year?

Who should have done something about the dustmen rarely collecting our rubbish on the right day?

The answer is: your neighbours.

Not literally your next door neighbours probably, but local councillors are nothing more nor less than people who live or work in Wirral Borough Council and have strong views about services in our area.

Next May/June, 22 seats on Wirral Borough Council are up for election. Your local Conservatives are determined to win as many of these seats as possible. To do that, we need to find good candidates now.

We are looking for people of all ages (you have to be at least 21), from all the different communities that live in this area and from all walks of life. All they have to have in common is an interest in their local community and a commitment to Conservative principles.

If you, or anyone you know, are interested, please get in touch with me. You would obviously want to find out more before committing yourself and we would be delighted to arrange for you to meet one of our existing councillors to discuss what is involved.

Don't forget please get in touch soon because we want to select our candidates as quickly as possible.

For more information or to put yourself forward as a candidate please click on the contact button at the top of this page and submit your enquiry.
