Upton have selected their local Government 2007 candidate
  11/01/2007

Recently, at a meeting full of supporters, Julie Kirwan gave us the news many residents in Upton had been waiting to hear – that she is standing again for election to Council.

Julie has lived in Upton for many years and is fed up with the way Councillors have just used the area to get a seat in the Town Hall, without being committed to the residents they are supposed to represent.

She told this website: “Labour are just interested in Birkenhead. They take us so much for granted they even used us to experiment a residents’ parking scheme, without so much as a second thought for how it might affect family life in Upton.

“The Liberals abandoned us and stood for election in Prenton as soon as they got the chance to in 2004.”

Keeping my Promise

When I stood for election this year so many people put their faith in me that I came very close to winning.

In my campaign I promised residents that I would not disappear after the election, but would continue to work hard for the area - and here I am.

Here to work, here to stay. Putting Community before Party Politics.”

Julie would be pleased to help you whatever your political persuasion – just get in touch using the contact button at the top of the page.
