The Government is introducing a national data base which
will have your medical information stored on it. This called the
NHS Spine and is being introduced very quietly.
You are not able to prevent this key part of the £20 billion NHS
computer programme from existing but you can opt out and refuse
to have your GP medical records available nationally said Lord
Warner on Monday.
The Government say that a central data base of our records will
be of benefit in an emergency as it will contain records of
allergy, medication and past medical history.

The relatively small Child Support Agency computer system
doesn’t work properly, what chance that this grandiose scheme
will be any better. Such a massive data base will be open to
corruption. Corruption of the information it holds about you and
open to malicious hackers not to mention thousands of government
employees with whom you would not normally wish to share your
most intimate details.
You can opt out by writing to your GP and asking that your
records are not up loaded onto BIG BROTHER’S data base.
