Jeff Green Conservative Councillor for West Kirby &
Thurstaston ward. |
Jeff
has been a Councillor since 1986. Following boundary changes he now
represents West Kirby and Thurstaston Ward which includes the
communities of West Kirby, Caldy, Grange, Newton and Thurstaston.
He is the Leader of the Conservative Group on Wirral Borough Council
and is a member of the Council’s Executive which, with the exception
of planning matters, has the responsibility to make all decisions
relating to Wirral Borough Council activity.
Jeff is an active member of all sorts of council committees
including Wirral’s Local Strategic Partnership which brings together
Wirral’s voluntary groups, Government Departments, Police and the
local NHS but he particularly enjoys his roles as chairman of the Hilbre Island Management Committee and Governor of Dawpool CE
Primary and West Kirby Grammar School.
Together with Esther McVey and his fellow Ward Councillors, David
Elderton and Geoffrey Watt Jeff is a key member of the West Kirby
and Thurstaston Action Team.
Jeff has lived in Wirral all of his life. He is married to Carol and
has two beautiful children, Emma and Megan. Jeff is a keen supporter
of Everton Football Club and when not at the Town Hall, trying to
help residents or at work, he reads quite a lot, watches cricket and
tries to fit in the odd round of golf. (Handicap 14)
