Councillor
John Hale has served on the council since 1975 and was elected to
represented Hoylake Meols and Central West Kirby since 1991. He is
married to Tricia and they have three children and seven
grandchildren all living in Hoylake. His hobbies are sailing
watching sport reading and travel.
By profession John is an accountant (member of the Chartered
Institute of Public Finance and Accountancy)
Currently he is cabinet member for Culture Leisure and Tourism and
is the Conservative spokesman on the Audit and Risk Management
Committee.
He also represents the Council on the North West and North Wales
Fisheries Management Committee.
In addition John also serves on the Westbourne Hall Community
Management Committee, the Hoylake (Hoyle Road) Community Management
Committee. He is a Governor of the West Kirby Residential School,
and serves on the Hilbre Island Management Committee. He also serves
on the Hoylake and West Kirby Regeneration Liaison Committees and is
a member of the West Wirral Community Forum.
John spends most of his time in and around Hoylake on a daily basis
and deals with many individual problems. Johns particular passions
are monitoring planning and licensing applications and trying to
ensure they are in the best interests of the residents and traders
alike.
John also fights continuously and has done for many years to stave
of the grasses that have tried to establish themselves on the
beaches at Hoylake and has played a leading part in bringing about
improvements and regeneration to the Hoylake Meols and West Kirby
areas..
