The Ward boundary extends from Arrowe Park Hospital and Landican to include Pensby and Thingwall. Barnston, with effect from Jan 1st 2007, becomes part of Wirral West constituency in Pensby and Thingwall Ward. The southern boundary of the Ward runs along Whitfield Lane and then Irby Road to Mere Lane.

The Ward has one Conservative Councillor  Ian Mackenzie who was elected in 2004.

The Ward has a very active political team to support their Conservative Councillor. The Councillor and their team are regularly out in the Community speaking to residents and helping to resolve problems that may seem trivial to officialdom but are upsetting and spoil our environment.

The Team’s motto is ‘Community before Politics’ and their actions demonstrate that commitment.
