December 2nd Action Day.
We are determined to save to save
our NHS from further cuts by the Government.
We were out and
about in West Kirby and Greasby. Hundreds of people signed a
petition to Gordon Brown demanding that cuts to front line
services in the NHS stop.
This was the day after we heard that a
ward at Clatterbridge Hospital had been closed. We heard
alarming stories of people’s experiences of our local NHS but
without fail all praised the hard work and dedication of the
front line staff.
People didn’t think lack of money was the
problem. People complained that their hard earned money they had
handed over in tax was being wasted chasing Gordon Browns
micro-managed targets, recurrent reorganisations and
mismanagement.
They are demanding that our NHS should be run
locally using the knowledge of our professionals, our Nurses and
Doctors.
