  Telephone Masts
  07/12/06

Conservative Action Teams have been out and about letting residents know when planning applications are made for the erection of telephone masts.

Swift action by Councillor Ellis ensured that the application for a mast by the Railway Inn in Meols was put to a full planning meeting and rejected by our elected representatives.

The application for a mast behind the Cuba Bar in Hoylake has also been put to a full planning meeting.

The next application is for a mast by the Hoylake Sailing Club. We must not allow decisions without consultation. Constant vigilance by your Conservative Councillors will ensure the residents’ views are heard. Councillor Ellis, working closely with Esther McVey and her Action Team, will keep you informed.

We must not let our towns and villages become littered with masts, like an on-shore wind farm minus the blades.
